President​

​

The President is responsible for establishing the direction of TOA. You will have to be comfortable in aligning a large committee to the vision you have created. The president is also responsible for ensuring that the TOA committee works effectively. You will have to be able to allocate tasks for the team (according to the timeline you have planned)  and enable them to complete the tasks you have delegated. You will also have to maintain healthy relations with every participating society.  

 

Responsibilities: 

 

  • Ensure the committee’s aims and objectives are fulfilled 

  • Be the formal representative of TOA for all liaisons and dealings with external bodies/affairs 

  • Be the final authority in all matters within Taste of Asia

  • Chair committee meetings and propose meeting agendas 

  • Be responsible to ensure the society’s constitution remains up-to-date 

  • Serve as a co-signatory, together with the Finance and Sponsorship Director, to the TOA bank account 

  • To be responsible for ensuring that TOA’s constitution remains up-to-date

Vice Presidents

​

The Vice Presidents works closely with the President to oversee all internal operations and plays a key role in building relationships within the committee. The Vice President serves as the executive committee member responsible for providing leadership and general management of TOA. A demonstrated commitment to upholding the values of TOA is required.

Events Vice-President

​​

Responsibilities: 

​

  • The allocation of events to committee members

  • Ensuring the smooth execution of such events

  • Conducting of a post-event evaluation (whereby reviews by committee and all other involved committees are discussed)

  • Collaboration with the Vice President of Media & Communications to oversee Publicity & Marketing team

  • Assisting with proposing meeting agendas

  • Organise and chair President’s Meeting for event preparations

  • Step up to the duties of the president in his/her absence

Media & Communications Vice-President

​​

Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain relationships with members 

  • The main point of contact for external and internal members  

  • Promote the aims and objectives of the society

  • Oversee all dealings with the society’s members 

  • Be in-charge of the aesthetics, marketing, planning and logistics of the society's events and promotions

  • In charge to oversee and keep track of the Publicity & Marketing team

  • Working closely with The Vice President of Events to oversee Operations & Logistics team.

  • Assist with proposing meeting agendas 

  • Organise and chair Presidents’ Meeting for event preparations

  •  Step up to the duties of the president in his/her absence
